What is the Rosary of Crucifixion?

The Rosary of Crucifixion is a devotional prayer that helps the faithful meditate on the sufferings and crucifixion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It draws the heart to Calvary, to the Holy Wounds, and to the mercy flowing from the sacrifice of Jesus.

Meditating on the Stations of the Cross

The devotion helps the faithful contemplate the Stations of the Cross and walk spiritually with Jesus. It is not limited to Lent. Because the suffering and love of Christ remain central to Christian life in every season, the Rosary of Crucifixion can be prayed throughout the year.

Core Prayer

“Jesus, You went to Calvary for me, have mercy on me and save the whole world.”

Our Lady of Sorrows

The devotion also invites reflection on Mary, the Mother of Sorrows. Standing close to Jesus in His suffering, she teaches the faithful how to remain near the Cross with love, sorrow, obedience, and hope.

Accepting our crosses

To pray this devotion is also to ask for the grace to accept our own crosses in union with Jesus. It calls the faithful to humility, surrender, and a deeper love for the saving Passion of Christ.

“Sufferings not accepted are My Crosses rejected.”

Agonizing Jesus Christ, have mercy on us!
